JUST like designer clothes, a quality wig can cost a pretty penny.

And while companies like Rent the Runway have let fashion fans rent those pricey outfits for years, one company is now doing the same thing for hairpieces.

WellCapped is the first to market rental platform for high-quality hair extensions and wigs.

It was founded by Black female entrepreneurs and cousins Shante Frazier and Lauren Mitchell.

While subscribers can rent wigs for lots of reasons — say, to try out a new style before committing, or to switch up there long from week to week or month to month — the founders were inspired by a more serious issue.
