Cash App released a new ad spot under its That’s Money brand campaign, this time starring rapper and singer Doechii.
The latest spot builds on another spot from 2022, The Balcony, in which artist Kendrick Lamar and entrepreneur Ray Dalio provide comedian ExavierTV advice on opening a barbershop.
In the new spot, The Barbershop, ExavierTV has opened his business and now finds himself providing advice to a friend who comes in complaining about losing money. Rapper and singer Doechii, having her hair done, joins the chorus and also offers financial counsel of her own.
“We wanted to show how financial wisdom can spread within communities through real, everyday conversations,” Catherine Ferdon, Cash App chief marketing officer, said via email to Campaign US. “As a social gathering spot that holds cultural and communal significance for so many, the barbershop felt like the perfect setting to see one of these conversations unfold.”
