KILLEEN, Texas — Brittany Gibson is an active duty solider in the United States Army and served at the Fort Cavazos Army base for over 14 years. While being a mother and being active duty, she still wanted to take a swing at being an entrepreneur.
“It’s like one of those things where you have so many ideas, so I really just jumped into it,” Gibson explained.
As a Black woman, Gibson has always been into Black art and culture. So, in August, she decided to create her own business named ‘Melanin Memoirs’.
Gibson sells melanin inspired journals that come with their own coffee cups, customized t-shirt, gift sets and more.
