Clear Lake kids raise money for flood relief with lemonade stand [Video]

CLEAR LAKE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – With the recent flooding in the region, many have made efforts to provide relief to those impacted.

A South Dakota community worked to raise funds for northwest Iowa, led by a special group.

While Clear Lake, South Dakota is hundreds of miles away from some of the northwest Iowa communities that have been devastated by recent flooding, all it took to connect those communities was a little bit of care, creativity and planning from some impressive young ladies.

On a hot summer day, a lemonade stand operated by local youth is not uncommon, but their motivation was.

Ava and Adalynn Pohlman recruited some friends to help them with their growing operation, but for a cause that caught their attention: flood relief in Iowa.
